Legal aid is the provision of assistance to people otherwise unable to afford legal representation and access to the court system. Legal aid is regarded as central in providing access to justice by ensuring equality before the law, the right to counsel and the right to a fair trial.
WHAT IS A LEGAL AID CLINIC?
A legal clinic is a law school program which provides hands-on-legal experience to law school students and reasonable services to various clients. If you can’t afford a lawyer, but still need legal representation or even have questions about your legal rights, you can get free legal aid at our Xavier’s Law School. These legal services are provided by law students who work pro bono, meaning “for the public good”, or without charge.

- Free Legal Aid & Legal Literacy Camps
Every year students will have an opportunity to serve the society through Legal Aid & Legal Literacy Camp.
- Women Empowerment
Xavier Law School applauds women empowerment through various seminars, organizational justice & regular Interventions
- Juvenile Justice
Juvenile justice, policies, network of law and procedures deliberate to regulate the processing and treatment of non-adult offenders for violations of law.
- Social Justice
Rule of law and democracy can flourish only when people have effective and speedy access to justice for free or a very reasonable amount of money.
- Research Projects
Our primary mission is to train our students to produce highly cost-effective and efficient legal research.
- Senior Citizens
Free Legal Counselling to senior Citizen will be provided.

Public interest is a common concern among citizens in the management and affairs of local, state, and national government. The right to move to the Court by appropriate proceedings for the enforcement will be provided.
XAVIER LAW SCHOOL will also conduct Legal literacy programmes and will undertake several other projects such as Legislative drafting for domestic workers, surveys on domestic violence and other burning issues.
